The Coldest City on Earth is a 2D animated short film that takes place in a fictional frigid mining city called Öltal that acts as an introduction to its future apocalypse horror video game. The plot follows an experienced ER nurse named Zhanna Morozova as she makes daily voice recordings documenting the care of her newest patient, Ruslan Agapov, who was one of three cave miners that were rescued from a recent cave collapse. As the film progresses, Agapov's condition worsens with crystal-like formations emerging from the skin. It spreads throughout the hospital, resulting the patients and staff becoming infected as well. The film ends with our main character, Zhanna Morozova, as she reveals she too is infected.
